Lines, Angles, and Triangles covers angle relationships and triangle facts: angles formed by parallel lines and a transversal, the angle sum of a triangle, similar and congruent triangles, and the Pythagorean theorem. Many questions chain a few of these, using one relationship to find an angle or length that feeds the next step. Similarity is a recurring theme, where matching sides are proportional and a shared angle sets up the ratio. This is a Geometry and Trigonometry skill. The common trap is assuming a relationship the figure only appears to show, so working from stated facts and marked measures, not from how the drawing looks, is the safeguard. Setting up a proportion for similar triangles resolves most length questions cleanly.

What angle relationships are tested?
Angles from parallel lines cut by a transversal (corresponding, alternate, and co-interior), the 180-degree angle sum of a triangle, and vertical angles. Questions often chain these to find an unknown angle.
How do I use triangle similarity?
When two triangles share equal angles, their corresponding sides are proportional. Set up a ratio of matching sides and solve. Identifying which sides correspond is the step that prevents a wrong proportion.
Can I trust the figure's appearance?
No. Work from stated facts and marked measures, not from how the drawing looks. Assuming a right angle or equal sides the figure only seems to show is the most common trap in this skill.
